Course Details: 
Our First Aid at Work course is a recommended for those designated as workplace First Aiders. This course covers a wide range of subjects that will help the First Aider deal with a variety of emergency until the arrival of the emergency medical services. No previous experience in First Aid is necessary to join this course, however completion of our Basic Life Support (BLS) or Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses would be a clear advantage. 
Course Aims: 
To provide delegates with the knowledge, skills and confidence to effectively perform a wide variety of First Aid procedures in the workplace.

Primary Survey 
Causes of unconsciousness 
Secondary Survey 
CPR 
Choking procedures 
Management of Shock 
Management of Anaphylaxis 
Bleeding management 
Burns management 
Effects and signs of Stroke 
Causes of Asthma 
Effects / signs of Heart Attacks 
Sprains and strains 
Management of Diabetes 
Managing Seizures and Epilepsy 
Fractures and Dislocations 
Head injuries 
Accident, Incident RIDDOR 
Dealing with a Crush injury 
Dealing with Amputation injuries 
Dealing with Chest trauma

Assessment Criteria: 
Continued practical and written skills assessment throughout the course. 
Certificate Gained: 
Level 3 First Aid at Work. 
Certificate Duration: 
3 Years (Annual refresher recommended)

*Group/On-Site Booking: £1,600‒(Maximum of 12 delegates) or 
*Individual/Open Course £170 per delegate 
* All costs include course materials, handbook and certification. There are no hidden costs. 
* All group/On-Site courses located to outside the M25 will come with an additional travel charge @ £0.35per mile. 
* All group/On-Site courses located more then 100 miles outside the M25 and require overnight stay will come with an additional hotel charge @ £50 per night.
