Course Details: 
No matter what or where you're work is, you will invariably perform a task that requires the manual handling of an object. This could take the form of simply moving a box of stationery to something more intense like moving a desk up or down a flight of stairs. This course will explain the inherent dangers of moving and handling, but more importantly it will show you how to perform the tasks with a minimum of risk as possible to keep you safe. Areas covered are Spine awareness, legislation, policies and procedures, ergonomics, risk assessments, safe handling, team handling and communication, Inanimate object handling, practical ergonomics. 
Course Aims: 
The aim of the course is to give delegates the principles of best practice in the manual handling of inanimate objects

Musculoskeletal disorders(MSD's). 
Prevention and management of MSD's. 
Function of the spine. 
Manual handling legislation.

Basic safety checks of equipment.

Continued practical and written skills assessment throughout the course.

*Group/On-Site Booking: £390‒(Maximum of 12 delegates) or 
*Individual/Open Course £39 per delegate 
* All costs include course materials, handbook and certification. There are no hidden costs. 
* All group/On-Site courses located to outside the M25 will come with an additional travel charge @ £0.35per mile. 
* All group/On-Site courses located more then 100 miles outside the M25 and require overnight stay will come with an additional hotel charge @ £50 per night.
